石造りの床から垂直に伸びる柱。まず、その佇まいをイメージした。その延長にある透明管から音が生まれ、無指向的に広がり、空間を演出する。あたかも、水面に落ちた一滴から波紋が広がるように。この発想には、数々の歴史ある教会やサロンで豊かな音響空間をつくりだしてきた、ロンバルディアの大理石がふさわしい。素材と空間、音が融合する中に、人とモノとの心地よい関係を表現した。

The image is of a column rising vertically from a stone floor, tapering into a translucent pole from which sound emerges in all directions. The radiating sound defines the space through which it propagates-like ripples produced by a stone dropped in a pond. And what better material than Lombardy marble, long employed for creating acoustic spaces in so many historic churches and salons. This harmony of material, space and sound is a reflection of the harmony among people and the things that surround them.
