In this case a stereo microphone might be a good choice, allowing you to capture a sense of space while getting close to your subjects to record their comments.

Tech Note
Stereo Microphone Connection
For use with the XLR-K2M you'll need a stereo microphone that can be connected via dual male XLR output connectors. Most stereo microphones can be connected via an adaptor, but for optimum quality a microphone that can deliver balanced output via XLR connectors is preferred, not only because it will take full advantage of the high-performance balanced microphone preamps in the XLR-K2M, but because it can connect directly to the XLR-K2M without adding unnecessary conversion adaptors or extra cabling.
