# Omniverse Set up Instructions ![thumbnail](/Products/Developer-Spatial-Reality-display/img/tips/omniverse/thumbnail-of-omniverse-set-up-instruction.webp){.img70} With the recently released SDK 2.4.0, OpenXR is now supported and Omniverse can be used with Spatial Reality Display. This article describes the setup procedure. :::note The NVIDIA Omniverse Launcher was discontinued on 1 October 2025. To connect with SRD using the new Kit XR template app, please follow the steps on [the new procedure page](/Products/Developer-Spatial-Reality-display/en/tips/omniverse-kitapp-instruction/). ::: ## 1. Install Spatial Reality Display Settings 2.4.0 from [Sony website Download Page](/Products/Developer-Spatial-Reality-display/en/develop/Setup/DownloadInfo.html) ## 2. Enable OpenXR in the Spatial Reality Display runtime 1. Run the Spatial Reality Display runtime settings. 1. Under the Others tab, under OpenXRDevice settings, click “Set Spatial Reality Display” as the active device to enable the Spatial Reality Display’s OpenXR runtime. ![settings](/Products/Developer-Spatial-Reality-display/img/tips/omniverse/settings-en.webp){.img40} ## 3. Install NVIDIA's Omniverse launcher 1.9.11 by following [NVIDIA’s documentation](https://developer.nvidia.com/omniverse#section-getting-started) ![Download omniverse](/Products/Developer-Spatial-Reality-display/img/tips/omniverse/omniverse-dl.webp){.img30} ![Install NVIDIA's Omniverse launcher 1.9.11](/Products/Developer-Spatial-Reality-display/img/tips/omniverse/ver-1-9-11.webp){.img70} ## 4. Install Omniverse USD Composer 2023.2.5 ![Install Omniverse USD Composer 2023.2.5](/Products/Developer-Spatial-Reality-display/img/tips/omniverse/usd-composer.webp){.img70} ## 5. Open the VR window in USD composer 1. In the top main menu, go to Window -> Rendering, and check the VR option. 1. In the VR menu, adjust the camera placement and other settings. These steps are optional but they will help the viewing experience on the Spatial Reality Display: 1. Under Advanced Settings, set Physical World USD Anchor to Scene Origin. 1. Set Selected Output Plugin to OpenXR. 1. Set Quality Preset to Balanced. 1. Click Start VR to run VR mode in USD composer using OpenXR 1.
