Jury Evaluation
This is an exceptionally ambitious initiative in which 14 companies across multiple industries have joined forces to help realize the Sony Group's environmental goals, establishing a mass-production framework for incorporating circular materials into high-performance products subject to stringent quality requirements.
Particularly commendable is the initiative's successful implementation of a new manufacturing platform that enables resource circulation across corporate boundaries. By disclosing information that would normally remain confidential, including details of business partners, it has enhanced transparency throughout the complex supply chain from biomass feedstocks to finished products, thereby making cross-industry resource circulation a practical reality.
About the GOOD DESIGN AWARD

The GOOD DESIGN AWARD is Japan's leading design evaluation and promotion program, succeeding the Good Design Products Selection System established in 1957.
Held annually as a global design award with participation from numerous companies and organizations in Japan and overseas, it aims to improve the quality of life and harness design to address social issues and themes.
The initiative was selected as a design that advances today's design standards and has the potential to serve as a model for the future.
