Sony at San Diego Pride 2025

In July, SNA's LGBTQ + employee network (eNet) Equality ALLiance continued celebrations of Pride month with the theme Unbreakable Pride, Unshakeable Power. On July 19, SNA and SIE partnered to sponsor the San Diego Pride Parade. Almost 300 employees, their family, and friends walked in the parade.

Wounded Warrior Carry Forward 5K

In August, SNA's VETS eNet along with SIE colleagues raised over $7,000 for the Wounded Warrior Project and participated in the Wounded Warrior Carry Forward 5k, raising awareness and supporting veterans in need.

Coastal Clean Up

In September, Sony employees and local Girl Scouts collected nearly 80 lbs. of trash. Across 101 sites, 3,887 volunteers removed over 69,000 lbs. of litter, with over 30,000 lbs. recycled or composted.

Kitting with International Medical Corps

In July, SNA hosted a kitting event with International Medical Corps (IMC). Team members packed 1,200 first aid kits in less than four hours, shipping more than 30 pallets back to IMC warehouses, ready to be deployed to provide aid after the next global disaster.

Helping children in need

A team from Budapest participated in a voluntary activity supporting Magyar Máltai Szeretetszolgálat, a non-profit organisation based in Hungary. Following a brief safety training, they got to work assembling care packages for children in need.

Garden maintenance at a children's home

In September, volunteers in Sony Czechia joined forces with Czechia‘s largest electronics retailer, DATART, to collectively improve the garden at a children's home in Vizovice.

Supporting vulnerable adults

In August, the Technology & Engineering Centre Europe (TEC-E) Weybridge team of nine volunteers supported the maintenance of Fenner House in Weybridge - an independent living facility operated by Walton Charity that supports vulnerable adults with safe, affordable housing and access to care.

Picking fruits and cleaning local beach

In September, volunteers from UK Technology Centre took part in two impactful sustainability initiatives-harvesting over 60kg of naturally grown fruit from their Environmental Centre for use in the on-site canteen, and collecting more than 100kg of waste during a local beach clean-up.

Brissy4Ward 2025

In August, Sony Foundation Australia hosted its annual Brissy4Ward fundraising event in Brisbane, raising funds for youth cancer program, 'You Can'. The nominated cause, 'You Can Stay', supports regional and remote patients who are required to travel to major cities for treatment, and their families, with free, uncapped accommodation, relieving a portion of the burden that they are facing due to their diagnosis.
Sony Foundation Australia raised a Queensland record net AUD$951,000. Fundraising efforts were supported by over 20 volunteers, including staff from Sony Electronics.

Children's Holiday Camps

In September, Over 140 children with disability, and their families were supported with access to free respite at Holiday Camps in Queensland and South Australia, with over 300 secondary school students volunteering to participate.
Sony Foundation Australia granted AUD$107,000 towards the September Camps.

Southeast Asia

Turning beverage boxes into building materials to support disaster victims

In July, Beverage boxes can turn into building materials to benefit those affected by disasters. STT conducted an exercise in July and collected 78kg of sustainable beverage boxes. In addition, aluminum lids were collected in August to support the Prostheses Foundation. About 11kg aluminum lids were collected and donated to the Pollution Control Department, where proceeds will fund prosthetic parts for amputees, enhancing their mobility and quality of life.

Supporting vocational training programs

Partnering with KEDMAN SkillEd India Foundation and Poornima University, the Sony Gyan Setu initiative was launched in Jaipur on 29 August. The program trains underserved youth in Healthcare, Retail, and Beauty & Wellness, with the center offering modern facilities for skill development and community outreach. This initiative highlights Sony India's commitment to inclusive growth and CSR-driven development. 14 media coverage has been garnered through press releases and interviews.

Cybersecurity classes for children held

In July and August, Engaged in various activities with the NIIT Foundation, the SISC CSR team visited Shri Kaveri Ashram School and GMPS Narayanpura School to raise awareness on cyber crime. They also visited Sumanahalli Society (Rehabilitation Centre) in September for physiotherapy exercises and group games.

Volunteer work at a residential care facility

In July, 20 SOMEA volunteers spent 1.5 hours at Senses Residential and Day Care Center, engaging in sports, games, and face painting with children. In addition, SOMEA also sponsored meals and entertainment for all the children/residents during and after the volunteering visit.

East Asia

The 13th Sony Creative Science Award

An exhibition was held in both Taipei and Kaohsiung, showcasing Sony's CSR program and the results from the 13th Sony Creative Science Award. Visitors interacted with winning toys and science activities featuring Sony MESH blocks and the AI technology developed by So-net Entertainment Taiwan Limited. The exhibitions attracted over 25,000 attendees and receiving positive feedback for its engaging content.

SES Science Journeys to Guangdong &Shanxi

In 2Q FY25, SES Science Journey went to Guangdong Science Center(Jul. 5-6) , Jinzhong Science &Technology Museum &Linfen Natural History Museum (Aug. 2-3). Altogether 3,000+ people participated in SES activities, including SES science show, 4K3D sci-fi movie special event and toioTM workshop.

FY25 Sony Dream Class

In September, Sony Dream Classroom held in Jinggu Yunnan was implemented.
Approximately 290 students, 30 guests and university students, Under the slogan of "For the Next Generation", which is built 41 Sony Dream Classroom in Yunnan since 2013. This is the first time to Jinggu,Yunnan with the support of Shanghai Huaihai Street, Huangpu District and the local Jinggu County Government.

Donating used toys to facilities for people with disabilities and holding events

In August, employees of Sony China (SCN, SES, SME, SMP, and SGS) donated used toys to a facility for people with disabilities in Beijing and held an event. 37 employees made donations, and 10 employees participated in the volunteer event.
The total volunteer time for "Zhiyue Beijing" was over 114 hours.

Disassembly workshop

In August, SEC held a disassembly workshop for third through sixth elementary school graders. Participants disassembled CD radio cassette players themselves and learned about how things work in a fun way, including lectures on the internal workings of products and the correct use of tools.
A total of 24 pairs of kids and their guardians participated, with Sony employees volunteering to help the children disassemble the devices.

Volunteer activities to make educational puzzles

In August, SEC held a volunteer event in Osaki to make educational puzzles and 23 people participated. It's the third time we have held the volunteer program, which allows employees to easily participate in volunteer work at their workplace during their lunch break. The puzzles were donated to a nearby nursery schools.

Photography classes for children

In July, in conjunction with a visit to the soccer practice pitch, SMOJ offered a free rental of the α7 IV camera and the telephoto lens "FE70-200mm F4 G OSS." We provided the children with cameras set to optimal settings for sports photography, allowing them to experience the joy of taking photographs through our workshop. Sony Store Fukuoka Tenjin is collaborating with Avispa Fukuoka as a "Sharen Partner" in the Japan professional soccer league (J-League) team's community engagement project "FUKUOKA TAKE ACTION!" We are committed to building a vibrant local community in partnership with Avispa Fukuoka.

Workshop held to learn about machine mechanisms through crafting

In August, SGMO held a workshop at the Koda site titled "Make, Play, and Learn with an IC Recorder," with 22 elementary school students and their families participating. In this two-hour program, participants learned how IC recorders work and created their own original IC recorders.

Large-Scale Observation Event: "Night Insects" in Sony Forest, Kohda

Since last year, SGMO has conducted large-scale surveys to gain a detailed understanding of the various flora and fauna inhabiting Sony Forest, Kohda.
In July, the "2nd Night Insect Survey and Observation Event" was held to investigate insects that gather at night. The event, which began at 7:00 p.m., was attended by 36 people, including SGMO employees and their families.
After learning about insect characteristics and identification methods, participants explored Sony Forest, Kohda.

University students from Aichi Prefecture and Jiangsu Province, China, visited Sony Forest, Kohda

In August, 28 people, including university students from Aichi Prefecture and Jiangsu Province, China, and members of the Aichi Prefectural Government's Environmental Bureau, toured Sony Forest, Kohda.
This was part of a business program based on the Environmental Conservation Human Resource Exchange Agreement between Aichi Prefecture and Jiangsu Province, aiming to deepen international exchange among students while experiencing biodiversity-related facilities and natural environments, thereby contributing to human resource development and mainstreaming of biodiversity conservation.
