Partnering with Create Action grantee Heart & Soul Center

Through SNA's Create Action grant program, Sony partnered for the third year with Heart and Soul Center (HAS Center), a Los Angeles-based nonprofit that develops emerging filmmakers and photographers.
Their mentor‑led, youth‑centered team documented the Martin Luther King, Jr. Day parade and 5k in San Diego, producing photography and video for our social impact storytelling while giving young creators valuable real‑world production experience.

Community Recycling

In January, Sony hosted a free e‑waste recycling event at Waikiki Elementary School in Hawaiʻi alongside Electronic Recyclers International (ERI) and local community organizations, collecting 12,987 lbs. of e‑waste.

The event featured a Genki (seed) ball‑making activity, during which students and families participated in hands-on environmental learning. A total of 200 Genki Balls were made.

Biodiversity Restoration

In January, Through our annual partnership with the Hawaiian Legacy Reforestation Initiative, Sony donated $5,000 to support native tree planting and ecosystem restoration in Hawaiʻi. The donation helped plant 41 native trees across 0.10 acres.

Kids in Focus: SCSE team support disadvantaged kids in Czechia

Kids in Focus has been active in Sony Central South East Europe(SCSE). Following an initial workshop back in November 2025, a second Kids in Focus workshop took place at the Sony office in Prague, Czechia on February 21st. This session brought together eight enthusiastic budding photographers, most from children’s homes and foster families supported by Dobré Víly, a charity which provides local care, guidance, and assistance to children in alternative family and institutional settings.

Sony France supports food aid initiative for second year

On March 6, for the second consecutive year, Sony France employees took part in the national food collection supporting Les Restos du Cœur, reaffirming their commitment to helping those most in need. This year, ten Sony France employees came together across the Paris region, making a direct impact on the ground. Beyond Sony France, a total of 142 employees from across Sony Group Corporation entities in France (Sony Music, Sony Music Publishing, Sony Pictures) joined the initiative—illustrating a strong #OneSony collective effort.

Teams in the UK unite to support Surrey Wildlife Trust

On February 25, a team of 26 volunteers from multiple teams across Weybridge and Basingstoke sites (including Sony Sports) united to support Surrey Wildlife Trust. They planted 300m of hedgerow at Bonhurst Farm near Guildford.

Lund employees collect leftover wax to help warm Ukrainian soldiers 

Colleagues at the Lund site have been collecting and donating their leftover candle wax, transforming them into ‘trench candles’. These candles eventually serve as sources of heat for military personnel enduring the cold of the trenches, where access to traditional heating methods is limited.

WHARF4WARD 2026

On 19 March 2026, Sony Foundation hosted its annual flagship fundraising event, ‘Wharf4Ward’, at Sydney’s iconic Woolloomooloo Wharf, raising a record-breaking AUD$1,665,000 for its ‘You Can Stay’ youth cancer initiative. The program provides free and uncapped accommodation for young regional and rural Australians and their families who must travel to the city for lifesaving cancer treatment.

You Can Stay – 45,000 Night Milestone

In March 2026, Sony Foundation reached a major milestone through its ‘You Can Stay ‘accommodation program, delivering 45,000 nights of free accommodation to young Australians aged 15–29 from regional and rural communities undergoing cancer treatment. The program plays a critical role in removing distance as a barrier to accessing lifesaving care.

The Box of Joy Donation

The Box of Joy Donation initiative was launched in conjunction with Chinese New Year, a season symbolizing reunion, gratitude, and giving, to support children in need. FRCSH partnered with the EtonHouse Community to fulfill wish lists for children ranging from newborns to 16 years old. Employees were invited to contribute by donating items based on their preferred categories or by making a minimum cash donation of $10.

Volunteer employees interact with children on International Happiness Day

In celebration of the International Day of Happiness (Mar 20), SEV brought its purpose of filling the world with emotions to the children of SOS Children’s Village in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam, where volunteers engaged over 160 children through five interactive stations centered on creativity, technology, and play, successfully connecting Sony’s innovation with community care and delivering lasting social and emotional value through a vibrant “Happy Fair.”

Sony Creative Science Award

The 14th Sony Creative Science Award (SCSA) held training courses in January across three cities (Taipei, Taichung and Kaohsiung) for 90 shortlisted teams, involving 360 students, teachers, and parents. Three core courses—science, creative thinking, and digital imaging were designed to support children in creating science-based toys. Final projects were submitted in April, with winning teams receiving Sony products and book vouchers in recognition of their innovation and creativity.

Used calendars are collected and recycled into educational materials for displays

From 5–26 January 2026, employees at the Chonburi and Bangkadi sites donated used calendars, which were collected and delivered to the Foundation for the Blind in Thailand for recycling into Braille materials. The activity collected 74 kg, equivalent to 372 calendar issues, demonstrating practical waste reduction and inclusive social contribution.

Celebrating Republic Day with children

In collaboration with NIIT Foundation, the SISC CSR team visited GHPS, Anchepalaya, Guddadahalli on 31 January to celebrate Republic Day with the children. The team also visited APSA Dream School on 28 February, engaging students in learning beyond the classroom, where they enthusiastically presented solar and wind energy models showcasing their understanding of renewable energy.

Supporting families affected by COVID-19

The Sony India Sanjeevani Program, initiated in FY24 and continued in FY25, supports COVID‑affected families across India through healthcare aid, educational scholarships, and skilling, in partnership with Impact Guru Foundation. The initiative follows strict beneficiary due diligence and gained social media and independent print coverage in February 2026, highlighting measurable CSR impact.

Ronald McDonald House Charities

Partnered with Ronald McDonald House Charities, SI donated PlayStation 5 units, BRAVIA TVs, and a speaker. The program supports children receiving medical treatment and families, enhancing comfort and joy. The initiative has garnered 16 media coverage and 15 social media post.

Sony in China Volunteer Activity

In March, the caring activity for autistic children was organized to enable Sony employees to serve as volunteers, help autistic children integrate into society, support vulnerable groups, offer staff volunteer opportunities and strengthen government relations for community contribution.
In addition, RMB 1,720 was donated to support children with disabilities in continuing their creative activities in the future.

Sony ExploraDream

In January, The 13th Sony Dream Classroom has established 30 Dream Classrooms in 19 regions across 15 provinces. 125 college student volunteers from 21 universities have taught a total of 1,865 teaching hours, directly benefiting 6,861 rural students and teachers, with a project impact of over 2 million college students.

"NURO" x “Mado" x "XR Catch ball" NURO Online Program to be conducted

In March, children‘s cafeterias in Kitakyushu City, Fukuoka Prefecture and Izumisano City, Osaka Prefecture were connected using “NURO” and the telepresence system “Mado,” and a workshop using “XR Catch ball" was also conducted.

Through communication, we connected people and delivered the "discoveries" and "emotions" that arise from this connection to the children who will lead the next generation, thereby contributing to the improvement of their non-cognitive skills.

63 people participated in thinning work and forest maintenance experience at Sony Forest, Kohda.

On Saturday, February 21st, a thinning and forest maintenance experience event was held at Sony Forest, Kohda, with a total of 63 participants, including SGMO employees, university students and faculty from within the prefecture, Kohda town officials, and members of environmental organizations.
The purpose of this event is to learn about the formation of forests and the importance of ecosystems through thinning and maintenance work, and to think about creating a sustainable environment.
On the day of the event, after a presentation by experts, we carried out the felling of trees that had reached the end of their lifespan, trees that needed to be cut down from the standpoint of forest health and safety, and trees that were growing too densely and making it difficult for them to grow, as well as the removal of excessively accumulated fallen leaves.
Even students who were unfamiliar with using saws improved remarkably quickly with the guidance of the staff, and after just a few hours of work, the forest was transformed into a bright and cheerful place. After the work was done, we took a walk through the forest and shared our insights and lessons learned from the experience.

Sony HC BRAVIA Ladies Visiting elementary schools in various locations and holding hockey events.

As part of their community service activities, the Sony HC BRAVIA Ladies players conduct school visits and hockey clinics during the off-season (January and February).
They hosted hockey clinics at elementary schools in Inazawa City, Aichi Prefecture on Tuesday, January 20th and in Kakamigahara City, Gifu Prefecture on Thursday, February 5th.The children were completely absorbed in the game, and it was clear they were experiencing the joy of hockey with all their senses.
On Saturday, March 14th, a parent-child hockey clinic was held at Kawasaki Heavy Industries Hockey Stadium, the team's home ground, with a total of 30 participants.
The players acted as instructors, conducting programs that parents and children enjoyed together, such as shooting practice, strikeout, and dribbling practice.
